My latest documentary film on TV, YouTube and shown twice at ShAFF Sheffield Adventure Film Festival. British Youth Champion cyclist Ben Forsyth died suddenly of a heart condition. The film explores this inspirational young man through the eyes of his devastated family and friends, who actively raise money and awareness for heart screenings to avoid this happening to anyone else. The story follows Ben’s dad in a tough 24-hour endurance mountain bike race as he tries to win a special trophy named in honour of his son.
The Bob Graham Round: Running the Fells with Friends. Tony Holt attempts the iconic Bob Graham Round: a 66 mile ultra distance mountain challenge taking in 42 of England’s Lake District fells with 27,000ft of ascent, which must be completed within 24 hours. More than just a physical and mental challenge for the ultra-fit, Tony narrates his story and explains that it’s running in the hills with friends that makes it so special.
Rambler Man: a touching story about depression, a father’s love, and the beautiful Lake District. Very fond memories of shooting this lovely short film that won awards. I was cinematographer, editor and sound designer as part of a fantastic crew, including Ewan Pollitt, who wrote and starred in it alongside legend, Tim Bentinck. Angus Imrie (Prince Edward in The Crown) directed. It’s about a father who’s trying to find a way of helping his son with his depression by re-climbing a mountain in the Lake District they did together when the son was a child. It’s touching, thought-provoking and funny in parts. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it!
The Montane Cheviot Goat – Brutal Winter Ultra Run : a 55 mile winter ultra hill run in England’s remotest county
